I can't help but love the Georgia Dome. There isn't a bad seat in the house, I suppose unless you have really bad eyesight and are forced to sit in the upper deck.
A lifelong Dolphins fan, I had the opportunity to watch the Fish play for the first time since 1998, when they lost to the Dirty Birds in Atlanta. Come to think of it, I haven't seen the Dolphins win a game in person in 20 years. Ah yes, the days of Marino, Duper and Clayton ... AND SHULA.
The Falcons pretty much took it to Miami, 19-7, Sunday. It was a one-sided affair from the get-go. Oh well, a good time was had by all, especially the folks charging $25 to park cars. I think they're having a good time tonight anyway. A good time was also had by the fan three rows below me. Hope he was riding MARTA and not driving.
The Georgia Dome is super clean and offers plenty of amenities. I wish Jordan-Hare Stadium had stadium seats with backrests instead of those uncomfortable metal bleachers. Anyway, the Falcons are offering season-ticket packages for around $300, which probably gets you the nosebleed seats. Not a bad deal, but I'd rather go once a year and spend the other Sundays in the recliner flipping the channels and watching re-runs of my 1972 Miami Dolphins Perfect Season DVD.
