Greetings from Jordan-Hare Stadium, where I am drenched but not from rain. I'm sweaty. Bad. Sorry. Hold your nose. I did use Old Spice Red Zone, so maybe that will help.
Anyway, I spotted former Alabama head coach Dennis Franchione in the press box. He's going to be holdin' the rope tonight on ESPN Radio. Fran also coached at TCU and Texas A&M before hooking up with the radio gig. Not sure where he went off to. Looks like Fran's in the food line hoping to scarf down chicken and beef tortilla wraps. Yep, it's Mexican Night in the press box.
The students are making their way into the stadium and they're howling. Guys, it's raining. The stadium's sound system is blasting B.J. Thomas' Raindrop Are Falling on My Head. Go back beneath the bleachers before you catch the piggity flu.
By the way, I found a ticket sales representative on the street on the way to the stadium and couldn't help but ask how much tickets were going for. Expecting face value of $55 or more, he said, 'In the 20s.' Wow. Why buy season tickets from the university when you can get them for less elsewhere?
