Mr. and Mrs. John Kennon Waldrip of Tupelo, Mississippi are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Waldrip, to James Edward Zuelzke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Edward Zuelzke of Selma, Alabama.
The bride-elect is the grandaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Smith Harris of Tupelo, Mississippi and Mr. John Sears Waldrip of Auburn, Alabama and the late Mrs. Bobbie Nell Waldrip.
She is a 2006 Tupelo High School, graduate of "distinction." She was a member of Honor Choir, Wave Connection Show Choir and a Madrigal.
She will receive her bachelor of science in Human Development and Family Studies, with a concentration in adulthood in May 2010 from Auburn University. She will be interning with Bradford Healthcare of Montgomery. She is a member of Chi Omega Sorority and was on the Women's Philanthropy Board and the Dean's List.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Charles Zuelzke Sr., of Selma, Alabama and Mrs. James Gabriel Kelley Jr., of Selma, Alabama, and the late Mr. Kelley.
He is a 2006 graduate of John T. Morgan Academy in Selma, Alabama and will graduate in May 2010 with a business of science degree in Business Administration with a professional option in Accountancy from Auburn University. He will be interning with Jackson Thornton Accounting Firm in Prattville. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, Beta Alpha Psi, Accounting Honor Society, and the Financial Leadership Society.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m., January 9, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Tupelo, Mississippi. A reception will follow at The Conference Center in Tupelo.
