A house in Opelika was significantly damaged by fire around midnight Tuesday. No injuries were reported.
The Opelika Fire Department responded to a call in the 1300 block of Auburn Street around 12 a.m. Heavy fire could be seen from the back of the one-story house when firefighters arrived, Assistant Fire Chief Danny Cotney said.
Everyone in the house made it outside safely before firefighters arrived, Cotney said.
The rear section of the house and roof were heavily damaged by the fire, remaining areas of the structure were damaged by smoke and water, Cotney said.
