Shots were reportedly fired into an occupied Opelika residence during the early morning hours Tuesday.
The victim reported begin awakened by gunshots around 1:40 a.m., Opelika police Capt. Allan Elkins said. The victim later discovered there were eight shots fired into his home, located in the 3500 block of Dale Avenue, Elkins said.
There were no injuries reported in the shooting, Elkins said.
