Lee County Crime Stoppers are offering a reward for information leading to the identity of the man shown in the provided surveillance photograph.
According to a Crime Stoppers release, “On May 17, at approximately 3:50 p.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a panic alarm from the Panther Quick Stop/BP Service Station located at 2721 Lee Road 430, Smiths. The clerk reported that while she was working in the business an unarmed individual entered into the store and demanded money after walking up to the counter with a six pack of beer.”
According to the release the subject was wearing a white baseball cap, blue and white polo shirt and a pair of blue jeans. He appeared to be a white male possibly in his late 40’s, approximately 5’ 6” tall, approximately 185 lbs, with gray hair. The offender fled without getting in money but did take the beer and cigarettes from the counter, the release stated. He left the business driving a 1980’s model white or beige colored Cadillac with a vinyl top.
The release also states that “On May 17, at approximately 3:56 p.m., the same suspect entered into the Citgo/Bizzy Bee Service Station located at 880 Lee Road 248 Smiths, and robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect did not use a weapon in either of these two cases but he did threaten to use force against the clerks if they did not comply with his demands for cash.”
