Opelika Police Department reports

*Burglary and theft of property were reported Friday in the 1000 block of Avenue C after someone took five reels of copper wire sometime between 4:30 p.m., Aug. 29 and 6:45 a.m., Aug. 31.

* Burglary was reported Friday at a residence in the 600 block of Marion Avenue between 7:50 a.m. and 9:35 p.m., Sept. 5.

* Theft of property in the first degree was reported Friday at Betty’s Uniforms in the 2200 block of Pepperell Parkway after someone took a brown 1989 Ford Ranger with black rims and a silver toolbox sometime between 12:55 and 1:20 p.m., Sept. 5.

* Burglary and theft of property were reported Friday at a residence in the 200 block of Cherry Avenue after someone took a PlayStation 2 and a 1500 watt amplifier sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Sept. 5.

* Burglary and theft of property were reported Friday at a residence in the 2400 block of Edwards Road after someone took a Compaq computer and a couple of suitcases sometime between 6:55 a.m. and 4 p.m., Sept. 5.

* Unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle and theft of property were reported Saturday at Quality Inn in the 1100 block of Columbus Parkway after someone took a ladies’ black wallet with assorted personal contents sometime between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., Sept. 6.

* Unlawful possession of a forged instrument was reported Saturday at Chevron Food Mart in the 1100 block of Columbus Parkway after someone presented a counterfeit check at approximately 9:45 p.m., Sept. 6.

* Donna Ann Pope, 55, of Opelika was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree at approximately 10:20 p.m., Sept. 6.

* Illegal possession or fraudulent use of a credit card or debit card was reported Sunday in the area of Fruitwood Circle and Raintree Street between 7:15 and 7:40 a.m., Sept. 7.

* Burglary and theft of property were reported Sunday in the 200 block of Byrd Avenue after someone took a 32-inch LG plasma television sometime between 1 and 8:40 p.m., Sept. 7.
