The Bed Bath & Beyond store in TigerTown is expected to open in the coming weeks — not long after another major retailer hosts its grand opening in the shopping center.
The 23,000-square-foot Bed Bath & Beyond store will sell household items from accent furniture to vacuums. The store will also stock items for the kitchen, closet organization and garden, among other home needs.
The Bed Bath & Beyond store at TigerTown will be the company’s first in the area, with the nearest locations in Montgomery and Columbus, Ga.
Bed Bath & Beyond will announce the store’s grand opening details on the actual day that it opens its doors, according to company spokesperson Catherine Gentile.
The Opelika store is expected to open sometime between late October and early November, Gentile said. The company does not provide employee numbers for its stores, she said.
Kohl’s, a Wisconsin-based department store, will hold its grand opening at TigerTown on Wednesday, opening its doors for shoppers at 8 a.m.
Bed Bath & Beyond’s Opelika store is located between Dick’s Sporting Goods and Kohl’s at TigerTown.
