Opelika police are investigating two separate reports of sexual abuse filed during the weekend.
According to Opelika police, burglary and sexual abuse were reported Sunday at the 200 block of Chester Avenue between 2:45 and 2:49 a.m.
The victim, a 13-year-old from Opelika, was awakened by the offender’s inappropriate touching, according to police. The offender is described as a black male in his 20s, standing 5-feet 4-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt, do-rag, dark pants and red hooded sweatshirt.
According to police, sexual abuse was reported Saturday of a child lesser than 12 years of age. The place of occurrence was Opelika. The victim is a 5 year-old resident of Auburn. The incident took place between March 1 and March 31. A suspect has been identified.
