Auburn Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a person of interest seen in the Wimberly Station residential subdivision just off Lee Road 57 near Highway 14 during the early morning hours of July 23.
Hours earlier officers responded to a residence on Lee Road 57 (Turk Willis Road) in reference to a double homicide in which Jerome Maurice Brundage, 38, and Carol Oliver Dowdell, 42, both sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
“We’re releasing a video of a guy walking through a backyard in the area of where the incident occurred on the morning of July 23,” said Auburn Police Division assistant chief Tommy Dawson. “We’re still following up on several leads, but this guy is a person of interest in this case and we need to identify and locate him so that we can speak with him.”
Earlier this month, Gov. Bob Riley announced a reward of $5,000 each for information regarding the July 23 murders.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the individual pictured in the video is asked to call the Auburn Police at 334-501-3140.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of this person is asked to call the Auburn Police Division at (334) 501-3140 or anonymously on the tip line at (334) 501-7337.
