The Opelika City Council will have a work session at 6:40 p.m., immediately followed by a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Both will be held in the council chambers at city hall, 204 S. 7th St., and are open to the public.

-- Resolution for a contract for new Opelika Light & Power director;
-- Special recognition of retired Opelika High School head football coach and athletic director Spence McCracken;
-- Awarding of bid for road resurfacing program for 2009.
