A fire that destroyed a home in Macon County on Wire Road near Notasulga on Friday is still under investigation, according to Notasulga Volunteer Fire Department Chief Mike Whitman. Whitman said Saturday that no one was home when the fire started.
Personnel from the Notasulga Volunteer Fire Department, Southwest Volunteer Fire Department, the Auburn Fire Division, Auburn Police Division and the Notasulga Police Department responded to the fire that started about 5 p.m. Friday.
