Students from the College of Liberal Arts will give a presentation on "Liberal Arts and the Public Good" to representatives of the Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley and West Point Fund.
It will be held in the Governor's Room of The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center on Monday, March 30, at 3:30 p.m.
The public is invited to attend.
As part of their Living and Learning Community course, the students partnered with Jean Dean Reading Is Fundamental, a distributor of free books to low-income children in the state of Alabama.
The course is taught by Mark Wilson, assistant director of the college's Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts and Humanities, and peer instructor Rebecca Smith, a sophomore in the college. The Office of the Vice President for Outreach is also a contributor to the project.
