Auburn police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two individuals wanted for questioning in connection with the theft of three wrist watches stolen at approximately 12:45 p.m. from a downtown jewelry store Saturday.
According to a police report, the merchandise has an estimated value of more than $25,000.
The first person is described as a black man, approximately 40 years of age,
6 feet tall, weighing 250 pounds, according to police. He was wearing a navy long sleeve shirt, jeans, a ball cap and glasses. The second person is described as a black woman, approximately 40 years of age, 5-feet-8 inches tall and wearing a denim button up shirt, plaid undershirt and jeans. The pair may be driving a white sedan similar to a Nissan Altima.
Auburn police have asked that the jewelry store and the brand of the wrist watches not be named due to the ongoing investigation.
