Auburn police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two individuals wanted for questioning in connection with the theft of three wrist watches stolen at approximately 12:45 p.m. from a downtown jewelry store Saturday.
According to a police report, the merchandise has an estimated value of more than $25,000.
The first person is described as a black man, approximately 40 years of age,
6 feet tall, weighing 250 pounds, according to police. He was wearing a navy long sleeve shirt, jeans, a ball cap and glasses. The second person is described as a black woman, approximately 40 years of age, 5-feet-8 inches tall and wearing a denim button up shirt, plaid undershirt and jeans. The pair may be driving a white sedan similar to a Nissan Altima.
Auburn police have asked that the jewelry store and the brand of the wrist watches not be named due to the ongoing investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Auburn Police Division at 334-501-3140 or the anonymous tip line at 334-501-7337. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the persons involved or the recovery of the watches.
