Lanett man dies in two-car crash in Valley

A 43-year-old Lanett man was killed as a result of a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning in Valley.

According to a release from the Valley Police Department, Rodney Lamar Snow was pronounced dead at Lanier Hospital after an accident on 20th Avenue at Johnson’s Curve.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Snow, the driver of a Ford Explorer, was traveling south on 20th and failed to negotiate Johnson’s Curve. Snow crossed the dividing lines and collided with a northbound dump truck.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital by Valley EMS, where Snow was pronounced dead.

The accident is under investigation by Valley police and the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
