LAFAYETTE - Testimony in the second day of the trial for Noah White began Wednesday morning with the surgeon who treated Sgt. Shannon Rollins for a gunshot wound the night of Sept. 21, 2008.
Dr. Enrique Duprat said he believes the gunshot entered Rollins in the back and damaged a number of internal organs before it exited the abdomen. The surgery, done at Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley, took about three hours, he said.
White, 25, of Lanett faces seven counts of attempted murder and one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied building after being involved in a shootout with law enforcement 17 months ago.
