Cody Royster, Noah White’s best friend since the third grade, testified Thursday morning that White’s behavior was “very, very odd” the day before he was involved in a shootout with law enforcement 17 months ago.
White, 25, of Lanett faces seven counts of attempted murder and one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied building after the incident on Sept. 21, 2008.
On the third day of the trial in the Chambers County Courthouse, Doug White, Noah White’s uncle, also took the stand and told jurors how he took steps to barricade his home in Huguley after his nephew arrived that day in a car with several guns in the back seat..
“If I had to, I was going to put a chest of drawers in front of the door,” Doug White said.
