HBD1932, Yeah you are so right about all the other crimes…..but when & where did you see any of those commited???? ALL these people are guilty as charged. Yes, all these other things affect families, but being on METH KILLS…... It turns a person inside out, turns them into someone they have NEVER been. They steal, lie, abuse, & go insane towards the ones they have always loved. Obviously you are one of these METH heads or you don’t have anyone close to you who is very far gone. Once you get so far gone on this mess you are done (DEAD). If you have a good family who sees the good things in you & is bound & determined then they will coast you away & let you see the brighter things in life like your own CHILDREN!!!! It’s so sad once again & I pray every night that all this will cahnge, but the devil is in full force & I don’t think this world will be much longer.

I am a law and order type person, who believes in a lock em’ up and throw away the key, policy.

However, I feel pity for these people. I am sad that these people chose this lifestyle that have hurt family, friends, children and so forth.

These individuals through their actions and decisions, again have hurt themselves and their families.

What I must ask, what other sins people commit that hurt themselves and their families.

Let’s see…adultery, lying, drinking to much alcohol, DUI’s, taking bribes, cheating their boss or constituents from an honest day’s work, greed, taking advantage of the legal system, and using a “title” or “position” to weasel a way out.

Look, these people deserve to be punished. But they also deserve a way out to correct past mistakes.

BUT, what about white collar crimes or “little white sins”, sins committed in a closet while no one is looking; such as adultery or accepting bribes…those hurt innocent children as well as drug addictions.

How many of us have had a second chance and not deserved it. How many times have we asked Jesus Christ to forgive secret, unspoken sins that were lucky enough to have not appeared in the OA News?

I know a lot of these people myself…..many of them had done other illegal acts waaayyyy before now. One of them I know stole from their own family and broke their parents heart to do drugs…...no surprise that they were caught purchasing items to make meth…..others I went to school with, they were troublemakers there too…again… no surprise…I hope out of all of this, some may finally learn their lesson…..all we can do is hope

http://www.montanameth.org/  The videos on this site brought my 13 year old son to tears.  They are very emotional and very real.

It was horrible but a useful tool.  I sat down with my 13 year old who sadly has friends whose parents are addicted to this horrible drug and made him watch every video on the Montana Meth Project website.  By the time we got to the one that showed an addicts little sister getting the drug out of her older sister’s bag he was in tears.  Shock value really does go a long way with teens.  The Montana Meth Project works that “I’m only going to try it this one time” angle.  Children need to understand that all it takes is one time.  I am a mother of 5 and I thank God everyday that none of my babies have fallen into that kind of life.
