A 21-year-old Auburn University student died Saturday following an early-morning, single-car accident.

Bradley Langston, of Lakeland Fla., was ejected from his vehicle after it strayed off Shug Jordan Parkway between South College Street and Wire Road in Auburn, said Charlotte Patterson, Lee County deputy coroner.

The accident occurred about 1 a.m.

Langston died of blunt force trauma to the chest at 3:14 p.m. Saturday at Columbus Medical Center in Columbus, Patterson said.

No one else was in the vehicle, she said.

Patterson said she did not know if alcohol was involved.

“The accident is still under investigation,” Cedric Anderson, of the Auburn Police Division, said.

Langston graduated from Lakeland Christian School, where he played football.
