I live here on Hwy 51 in Beauregard.  I had an accident myself next to R&D grocery on Hwy 51 in August 2008.  I think I have counted 4 accidents in that area since mine in August.  I think this needs to be investigated due to the number of accidents at this area.  I have reported to the Sheriff’s Dept on numerous occasions of cars racing and the horrible speeding problems there is on 51.  I have lived here for about 31 years.  My parents moved here when I was 4.  They have actually had some deaths, including one right in front of my home several years ago when I was a teenager.  Some people just don’t pay attention anymore when they are driving and this causes accidents along with the speeding.  I really thing Hwy 51 needs to be patrolled more often and violators being caught.  I don’t even like my children to play in my mom’s front yard because of this.
