Fun with spelling

Someone has posted a clip of a bit of the National Spelling Bee finals from last weekend. I bet you can’t watch it without laughing:

Now, having seen that clip, check out this picture from MSNBC’s “picture story” about the evolution of Hillary Clinton.

Notice anything?

Here’s a hint: The woman in the top left-hand corner gets an A in political activism; unfortunately, she doesn’t fare as well in spelling.

The only thing that could have made that sign worse would have been if she had spelled “numbers” with an apostrophe-s: “number’s.“

That is my pet peeve.

Moral of the story: Spelling—it’s important!!
