Obama in Portland

This is one of those situations for which the old saying, “A picture is worth 1,000 words” was created.

Everyone’s taking about Barack Obama’s rally yesterday in Portland, Ore.

A new stump speech? A big endorsement announcement?

No, just the regular stuff—except that 80,000 people were there to hear it.

That’s Obama in the foreground, just left of center.

(Pause for laughter.)

The guy known for his verbal prowess was only able to manage this in response: “Wow, wow, wow.“ But he gathered it up and called the crowd “spectacular.“
