DIXIE ROUNDUP: Auburn 15-16s win

The Tallassee AAA (9-10) All-Stars pose in front of the scoreboard after defeating Opelika American, 4-0, on Tuesday night for the Sub-District championship.
The Auburn Dixie Majors (15-16) All-Stars claimed the district title with wins over Opelika and Southeastern Montgomery on Wednesday.
Chandler Mulvaney pitched a perfect game in the championship game to give Auburn the win, and Trey Phillips had a walk-off single.
Phillips, Jackson Norman, Tracy Brooks and Sam Stark all had multiple hits for Auburn, which will play against Eufaula on July 10 in Thomasville.
Tallassee claims AAA sub-district
UNION SPRINGS — Tallassee beat Opelika American for the second time during the District 10 AAA Sub-District Tournament on Tuesday night, taking a 4-0 win and the Sub-District title.
Tallassee’s Jake Baker pitched 5 1/3 innings of shutout ball, striking out nine and allowing only two hits. Dee Williams closed out the win for Tallassee.
Opelika American’s Kevin Lazenby was sharp in the loss, striking out four while allowing four runs on seven hits.
Both Tallassee and Opelika American advanced to the District 10 tournament in Valley, which starts July 6.
Auburn’s 17-19s win sub-district title
MONTGOMERY — Jace Harper had three hits and six RBI to lead the Auburn Dixie Majors (17-19) All-Star team to a 10-0 win over Montgomery American that clinched the sub-district title Tuesday night.
Auburn lost, 10-8, in the first game of the day to force a Game 2.
John Gunnels had three hits and Reid Carter had two doubles in support of Chase Dawson, who was the winning pitcher.
Auburn is next in action at the district tournament in Thomasville, starting July 10.
Auburn Dixie Boys advance to title game
MONTGOMERY — The Auburn Dixie Boys (14) All-Stars advanced to the district championship by defeating Smiths Station, 5-3, on Tuesday night.
Dake Rivers got the win on the mound, while Seth Taylor got the save.
Stephen Naughton, A.J. Shafer, Austin Williams, Marshall Hartzog and Taylor all had hits for Auburn.
A.J. Allen had a home run and Dee Tomlin had three hits for Smiths Station.
Auburn will play in the championship game tonight at AUM against an opponent to be determined.
