Just the tip of the iceberg

Scrap weekend plans. My home is inundated with water. The great flood. Yep. Worse than the last one. Really, an inch deep in three rooms. Mmmm .... love the smell of molded carpet.

Joe’s magical mystery tour continues tonight and this weekend with stops in two states. I’ve been to four high school football games this season. Where will I show up tonight? Won’t say, but it’s a place I haven’t been in a while.
As for the rest of the weekend, my magical mystery tour includes a trip out of state to an undisclosed location for top secret dealings involving federal reserve notes. I invite the FBI or DEA to follow, if they wish. They might be disappointed.
The weekend concludes in a place I haven’t been in quite a while.
Still, no sushi for Joe.
Today’s mood music: Whipping Post, by the Allman Brothers

Remember when gas prices went through the roof and the prices of groceries, electricity and practically everything else effected by the cost of fuel rose as well?
Now that fuel prices have dipped below or near $3 per gallon, it would make sense that the cost of groceries, electricity, etc., would fall as well. But I haven’t seen that happen yet, and it’s very disappointing. The average American consumer’s wallet is growing more thin by the day. These are truly sad times. Worse, some doomsday analysts believe the worst is yet to come.
Maybe it’s time I grow a green thumb and learn the art of raising my own produce. Maybe I’ll buy some okra seeds next week, chunk ‘em in the ground and see what pops up. I would like a lifetime supply of sushi. Cultivating that requires plenty of patience and TLC.
