A God without heaven? I don’t get it

Saw results of a Harris Poll tonight that said 80 percent of Americans believed in God. The poll also revealed that just 64 percent of Americans believed in Satan. I find this rather puzzling because I figured that number would be the same. Bible scholars would agree, right? Adding to my intrigue was the Revelation (no pun intended) that 73 percent of Americans believe in heaven. Hmm ... so this means 7 percent believe in God but do not believe in heaven.

Go figure.

I’m not sure how many Americans believe in Santa Claus. I, for one, do believe in Santa Claus. He’s tired, broke, his kid won’t go to sleep and he’d rather take Christmas Eve off than setting up toys in the living room.

Merry Christmas.
