Almost gametime

We’re roughly 50 minutes from kickoff at Jordan-Hare Stadium. I couldn’t help but notice a subtle change inside.

The murals along the south scoreboard are different. Gone is Mike Donahue. Enter the 1957 championship team. Gone is the old Sullivan-Beasley photo. Enter a different Sullivan-Beasley photo. Another mural, with Zeke Smith, Tracy Rocker and Carlos Rogers, is new too. Don’t know what it replaced.

Anyway, Braves pitcher and Auburn alum Tim Hudson was spotted outside the stadium, right arm in a brace, left arm carrying a child. That’s the spoils of fatherhood I guess.

Got to give kudos to the nice press box elevator lady at Jordan-Hare. This woman must sit confined in this space-heater all day and all night. It’s a sauna in there. Give the woman some air conditioning, a fan, something.

A last note to Dusty Thibodeaux, publisher of WarhawkReport.com: I never said last September that ULM had the longest losing streak in college football. We both know that honor at the time went to Florida International, which is best remembered for the 2006 steel cage match with the Miami Hurricanes.
