The winner of last week’s primary in the Opelika-Auburn News online presidential race was John Quincy Adams in a runaway. Adams won the Nostalgic Pool B (1825 to 1853) primary with 80 percent of the vote.

The Tippecanoe and Tyler Too ticket (William Henry Harrison and John Tyler) bombed in this election with eight total votes between them.

Adams moves into the nostalgic primary finals, where he will face George Washington at a later date. Washington won Nostalgic Pool A by just 13 votes over Thomas Jefferson.

This week’s primary is Republican Pool A, which can be found on our home page at http://www.oanow.com. Abe Lincoln figures to be the favorite, but hey, anything can happen.
