Strike one, strike two

I could admonish the Iraqi reporter who threw his shoes at President Bush the other day, but I figure that dude’s gotten enough admonishment (and perhaps praise from the Muslim world) for his actions already. Instead, the incident actually left me a little bit impressed.

How? The reporter has incredible aim. He must be an expert at shoe-tossing. He delivered two perfect strikes in the direction of the president’s head. I don’t know if many Braves pitchers did that last season. Also, President Bush displayed excellent reflexes. Not once, but twice. He alertly ducked out of the way and avoided the “brush back” pitch.

It would have been really cool if Bush caught both shoes with the same hand. Anyway, here’s a link to the video released on cnn.com:
