Working on a story package to hopefully run in next Sunday’s edition of the Opelika-Auburn News regarding interstate highway projects in Lee County and the construction project that never seems to end—Frederick Road.
Had a small chat with Alabama DOT guru DeJarvis Leonard the other day and I look forward to a much more thorough talk with him next week. The interview must happen, or I have no story.
Interstate projects covered will be the lane expansion between exits 58 and 62, the widening of the bridge at Moores Mill Road in Auburn and a new interchange at Beehive Road (technology park) that will help lure more industry into the area.
