Henderson, Fukai

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Henderson of Navarre, FL (formerly of Auburn, Alabama) and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bell of Auburn announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Mary Elizabeth Henderson, to Mr. James Jiro Fukai of Auburn, son of Dr. Junichiro Fukai and Dr. Shigeko Fukai of Auburn (formerly of Noda, Japan).

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jean McGinty Jones of Columbus, Georgia, and the late Mr. Charles Wesley Jones, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dunlap Henderson of Abbotsford, Georgia. 

Miss Henderson is a 2000 graduate of Auburn High School.  She graduated summa cum laude from Huntingdon College in 2004 where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in History and a minor in Cultural and Religious Studies. Miss Henderson is currently a partner at Alice Henderson Realty and Rentals, LLC in Auburn.

Mr. Fukai is a 1992 graduate of Auburn High School. He received Bachelor of Science degrees in Anthropology and Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1996, and a degree in Management Information Systems from Auburn University in 2000. Mr. Fukai is the guitarist for the band TrustCompany and is also currently employed by Auburn University’s School of Nursing.

The wedding and reception will take place May 1, 2010 in Opelika.
