Maddox, Brown

Lakeia and Lavasha Maddox of Opelika, Alabama announce the engagement of their mother Joann Price Maddox of Opelika to Greggory Charles Brown of Auburn, Alabama.

The Bride is the daughter of the late Mary Fears Price and Joe Lewis Echols, and the granddaughter of the late Willie & Ada Carr Fears and Suzann Echols. The groom is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Charles and Lillye Pearl Brown of Auburn, Alabama, the grandson of the late Everest and Lillie Mae Brown of Auburn, Alabama; and the late Joe and Helen Bradford of Auburn, Alabama.

The bride is a graduate of Opelika High School. Joann also studied photography at Southern Union in Opelika. Joann is employed as a clerk at East Alabama Medical Center.

The groom is a graduate of Auburn High School. Greggory also was a trumpet player in the marching band when he attended Auburn University. Greggory is employed as a machine technician at Matrix.

The wedding will take place October 17, 2009 at Saint James Baptist Church of Opelika, Ala., at 4p.m. Reception will be immediately follow the wedding.
