Sumlin, Layson

Mr. and Mrs. Burl Sumlin Jr. of Auburn, AL announce the engagement of their daughter Jenna Louise Sumlin to Jarret Allen Layson, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Layson of Opelika, AL.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Newton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Burl Sumlin Sr. of Mobile, AL. She is a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and the University of West Alabama with a master’s degree in Elementary Education. Jenna is currently a fourth grade teacher in Opelika.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ward Richardson, Mrs. Joann Layson and the late Representative Allen Layson. He is a graduate of Huntingdon College and the University of Alabama School of Law. Jarret works as an attorney at Ingrum, Rice & Parr LLC in Opelika.
The wedding will be an event in August in Opelika, AL.
