Sam’s Club Click and Pull
Sunday night after the wee one’s have made their final plea for more ice water and another trip to bathroom, I sit down, log on and order the week’s provisions with about 20 clicks of my mouse. We order milk, soy milk, eggs, brocolli, cheese, yogurt, bread and a number of other weekly essentials. The next afternoon I drive by Sam’s Club, ask Jessica or Abby to fetch my order, settle the debt and take it all home. This innovation has had two fantastic results for our family. The first is that it saves time - lots of time. The second is I’m not tempted by the gleaming rows of new and different merchandise on the shelves at the grocery store. While the first few weeks of my “Click and Pull” experiment actually cost me more then my usual grocery trip, subsequent orders have cost less. Really, how often do you have to buy ketchup when purchase three giant fridge bottles at a time. Not that often! There are still items we prefer to buy from Kroger or Winn Dixie (Who really needs a 25 pound bag of flour?) but for the basics that get us through the week, Sam’s Club “Click and Pull” is the latest feather in my efficiency cap.
