Arrest made in Fort Mitchell murder

FORT MITCHELL — A west Georgia man has been arrested and charged with capital murder in the death of an Alabama woman.

Russell County, Ala., Sheriff Tommy Boswell said 50-year-old Clyde Friend of Columbus, Ga., was arrested Thursday night and charged with killing 30-year-old Tiffany Folmar of Fort Mitchell.

Her remains were found Thursday near railroad tracks off Highway 165.

No motive was given.

Friend was being held in the Russell County Jail. At a court hearing Friday, he pleaded not guilty. Its unclear if he has retained an attorney.
