The Auburn University Chinese Professional Association (AUCPA) and the AU Chinese Students and Scholars Organization (CSO) raised $9,105 last weekend for victims of China’s recent 8.0 magnitude earthquake. The money will be transferred to the China Red Cross to help the earthquake victims in desperate need.

To allow more people to participate, especially those who were out of town, the organizations will continue their fundraising efforts until Friday, when they will once again set up a fundraising station at the main entrance of Foy Student Union from noon to 3 p.m.

Donors may give with a check (payable to AUCPA or ACBSG - Auburn Chinese Bible Study Group - with a note for “China Earthquake Relief”) or with cash donations at that time. If you want to send a check, mail it to AUCPA President Dongye Zhao, Department of Civil Engineering, 238 Harbert Engineering Center, Auburn University, AL 36849. For more information, contact Dongye Zhao at 844-6277 or the CSO president at 333-4345.
