Auburn City Council agenda for Aug. 5

The Auburn City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the city council chambers at 141 N. Ross St. The Committee of the Whole will meet at 6:55 p.m. Both meetings are open to the public. Items on the council agenda include:
- two annexation requests for the Donahue Ridge Subdivision.
- an annexation request for approximately 150.89 acres of land between Interstate 85 and Shell Toomer Parkway known as West Pace Village.
- an ordinance to convert Cox Street from a one-way street to a two-way street, to prohibit parking on Cox between Glenn Avenue and West Magnolia Avenue, and to install a stop sign on the north end of Cox at Glenn.
- a resolution for an agreement between the city and the United States Geological Survey for a stream gauging station on Saugahatchee Creek near Loachapoka and on Chewacla Creek in Auburn. The $30,900 cost could be shared by the city’s Water Works Board and the City of Opelika.
- a resolution for a loan of up to $150,000 from the Industrial Development Board or from the Revolving Loan Fund to Cylpro Auburn, Inc. to aid in purchasing capital equipment at its existing facility in the Auburn Industrial Park. The loan will allow Cylpro to expand its production line.
