Auburn University Basketball Player Reported Missing

A freshman Auburn University basketball player was reported missing Tuesday after friends became worried when she didn’t show up to class, Auburn police Assistant Chief Tommy Dawson said.

Sierra “CeCe” Sims, from Brentwood, Tenn., was last seen near her dorm on campus at approximately 3 a.m. Tuesday, Dawson said.

“None of her friends have seen her all day,” Dawson said. “When she didn’t show up for class, they called us.”

Dawson asked Sims or anyone with information about her whereabouts to call police at 501-3102.

“Right now, we don’t have any reason to suspect foul play at all,” Dawson said.

The university is working with police, it said in a statement released Tuesday.
