Auburn University to award 1,195 degrees at summer commencement

Auburn University will award approximately 1,195 academic degrees at its summer commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.
Of the degrees Auburn will award, 840 are bachelor’s degrees, 265 are master’s degrees, 86 are doctorates, two are specialist degrees and two are professional degrees (one each from the College of Veterinary Medicine and the James I. Harrison School of Pharmacy).
Auburn’s College of Liberal Arts will award the most undergraduate degrees with 281, followed by the College of Business with 212. The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering and the College of Human Sciences will each award 76 degrees. The College of Architecture, Design and Construction will award 67 degrees, the College of Education 49, the College of Sciences and Mathematics 44, the College of Agriculture 30, and the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences five. The School of Nursing will not award any degrees during summer commencement.

Auburn has awarded more than 210,000 degrees at its main campus since its founding as East Alabama Male College in 1856.
