Evangelist Will Graham coming to Auburn
Published: November 3, 2009
Will Graham, the grandson of famed evangelist Billy Graham, will come to Auburn March 26-28 for the East Alabama West Georgia Will Graham Celebration at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum on the Auburn University campus.
“I appreciate the invitation from the churches to come to the Auburn/Opelika area and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” said Graham in a press release.
The East Alabama West Georgia Will Graham Celebration is a not-for-profit corporation, operating under the direction of a celebration committee led by Banks Herndon of Trinity United Methodist Church in Opelika.
“I pray every morning that this event will bring many to know that Jesus is real, and not some storybook figure,” said Herndon.
All celebration programs will be open to the public and free of charge.
Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Celebration director John Cass and a group of trained and experienced staff will help guide preparations. Additional staff will be hired locally.
