ANDALUSIA — The former pastor of an Andalusia church is facing 152 charges stemming from allegations he sexually abused and tortured young boys while on camping trips.

The Andalusia Star-News reports Covington County Sheriff Dennis Meeks revealed the scope of the case against 54-year-old Ralph Lee Aaron, former pastor of Grace Christian Fellowship, at a news conference Tuesday.

He said the case began last week after a mother who’d heard rumors about a 2005 incident involving Aaron had a frank conversation with her son. The mother determined her son might have had inappropriate contact with Aaron and contacted authorities.

Aaron is being held in the Covington County Jail on $24.2 million bond.
