Opelika Police Department
* Ameko Cornelius Barnett, 30, of Opelika was arrested and charged with unlawful possession and receiving a controlled substance on Oct.6.
* Forgery was reported at various locations between November 1993 and October 2008. Three checks all under $10 in value were forged on a closed account.
* Theft of property was reported at the 1000 block of 1st Avenue between midnight Sept. 27 and 8 p.m. Sept. 29. A central heating and air-conditioning unit was stolen. A suspect has been identified.
* Theft of property was reported at the 1700 block of Columbus Parkway at 12:45 a.m. Oct. 6. A 25-inch TV, refrigerator, microwave, lamp and comforter were stolen.
* Burglary and theft were reported at the 1400 block of Randolph Street between 6:55 and 10:10 p.m. Oct.6. A 32- inch and 25-inch TV, VCR, 20 cans of beer, prescription medication and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
* Unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle and theft of property was reported at the 1000 block of Sanford Court at 9:20 p.m. Oct. 6. Approximately 200 CDs and a CD player was stolen. A suspect has been identified.
* Burglary was reported at the 400 block of Westwood Street between 1 and 1:30 p.m. Oct.6. No items were taken. 

Lee County Sheriff’s Office
* Arson was reported Monday on Hwy. 51 at 6:15 p.m.
* Burglary was reported Monday at a residence on Lee Raod 622 after someone took a PSP, guitar and a shotgun between 1 and 8 p.m.
* Shooting into an occupied vehicle was reported Monday at a residence on Lee RAod 145 between 2 p.m. Sunday and 3 p.m. Monday.
* Theft of services was reported Monday at a residence on Lee Road 249 after cable television services were used and not paid for between 3:30 p.m. Oct. 1 and 8:20 a.m. Monday.
* Burglary was reported Monday at a residence on Lee Road 240 after someone took a drill and tools between 2:30 and 2:40 p.m.
* Theft was reported Monday at a residence on Hwy. 169 after someone took shirts and a jacket between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. Oct. 1.
* Theft was reported Monday at a store on U.S. Hwy. 280 E after someone took hair dye between 2 and 2:15 p.m.
* Theft was reported Monday at a construction site on Lee Raod 2179 after someone took freon line and electrical wire between 12 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday.
* Theft was reported Monday on Lee Raoid 234 after someone took money orders between 8 a.m. July 4 and 8:30 a.m. July 7.

Valley Police Department
* Theft was reported Monday at a residence.
* Burglary and theft were reported Monday at Life Savers Mission Thrift Store.
