An Opelika gas station reported being robbed Friday night of an undisclosed amount of money, according to authorities.

The robbery occurred between 11:15 and 11:20 p.m. at Shell Station No. 83 in the 1400 block of Geneva Street, according to Opelika police Capt. Allan Elkins.

A man entered the business acting as if he had a weapon, but no weapon was reported seen, Elkins said. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, Elkins said.

The man was described as white, in his 20s, with a pierced lip, Elkins said. The man was reported wearing gray camouflage shorts and a white tank top, and reportedly left in a silver two-door Honda Civic, Elkins said.

To provide anonymous information regarding the robbery, call the Opelika Police Department’s Secret Witness Hotline at 745-8665.
