Opelika Police Department reports for Dec. 30

* Criminal possession of a forged instrument was reported Monday after the victim’s check was forged and cashed at Opelika Check Cashing in the 1700 block of 3rd Avenue on Oct. 14, 2008.

*  Theft of lost property was reported Monday after a ladies’ wallet was left and then was missing at Chevron in the 1100 block of Columbus Parkway at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

* Theft of property was reported Monday at a residence in the 3400 block of Hamilton Road after a 6-foot by 8-foot black utility trailer with Alabama tag number 43UTD702 and loaded with a 6-foot gate was taken between 8 a.m. Dec. 24 and noon Monday.

* Theft of property was reported Monday at a residence in the 500 block of Raintree Street after a two 9mm pistols were taken between Aug. 25 and Aug. 31.

* Burglary and criminal mischief were reported Monday at a residence in the 400 block of Comanchee Drive after a glass vase was broken during a burglary between 12:30 and 12:50 a.m. Monday.

* Forgery and theft of property were reported Monday at a residence in the 400 block of Watkins Avenue after the victim had two checks totaling more than $2,500 forged and cashed between Nov. 6 and Dec. 15.
