SUV, trailer with five four-wheelers stolen from two locations in Opelika
An SUV and a trailer containing five four-wheelers were reported stolen Tuesday from two locations on West Point Parkway in Opelika, according to authorities.
An Aluma trailer containing a 2008 DRR-AM DRX70 four-wheeler, three 2007 model DRR-DRX50 four-wheelers and a 2004 Yamaha 660cc four-wheeler were reported stolen Tuesday from VIP Gas in the 2400 block of West Point Parkway, according to Opelika police Capt. Allan Elkins.
The enclosed trailer also contained miscellaneous new four-wheeler parts and tools when it was taken sometime between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 18 and 3 a.m. Aug. 19, Elkins said.
A maroon 1994 Toyota 4Runner with Alabama license plate 64Y0S was also reported stolen Tuesday from a residence in the 2800 block West Point Parkway, Elkins said.
The Toyota 4Runner was taken sometime between midnight Aug. 18 and 7:10 a.m. Aug. 19, Elkins said.
As of Wednesday morning, there was no evidence to connect the two West Point Parkway thefts, Elkins said.
