A 52-year-old Auburn woman was killed Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle wreck that injured two others, police said.
The woman, whose name was not released Wednesday night pending notification of family members, was the sole occupant of a Toyota Camry, Auburn police Lt. Will Mathews said.
Two people in the other vehicle, a Ford Expedition, were injured, Mathews said. All three involved in the wreck were transported to East Alabama Medical Center, he said.
CSX crews were on the scene shortly after the wreck to repair a railroad-crossing signal that was knocked down in the crash, Mathews said.
The wreck occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Alabama Highway 14 and Webster Road, Mathews said. Officials briefly closed both lanes of traffic on Highway 14 after the accident.
No further details regarding the wreck were available Wednesday night.
