Help needed to provide merry Christmas for foster children
At the Lee County Department of Human Resources, the Christmas season is almost here.
This year, our agency will be providing Christmas assistance for our foster children and the elderly clients of our agency.
We would like to thank the people of Lee County for their kind help and support that they have given to our agency in the past.
This is a volunteer project, therefore without their help, we would not be able to provide any Christmas assistance to our foster children or elderly clients at all.
We are asking for the community’s help again this year.
All cash donations are tax deductible and they are used to provide vouchers to Kmart or JCPenney which will be given to the foster parents to allow them to shop for what the foster child desires.
We also use cash donations to buy Christmas gifts for many of the elderly and disabled clients of Lee County.
One hundred percent of the donations go toward providing Christmas for foster children or elderly clients.
Please make checks payable to: Lee County DHR/ Christmas Fund, 1715 Corporate Drive, Opelika, Alabama 36801-1514.
Thank you again to everyone in Lee County for their willingness to assist our agency in such a special way. Please contact Carolyn Mooty at 737-1107 if you should need additional information.
Carolyn Mooty,
Christmas Coordinator
Jan Burke,
Director
