Letter: There’s not enough room to list Obama’s poor associations

There’s not enough room to list Obama’s poor associations
Pulling into a local restaurant the other day, I shook my head at the “Obama 08” sticker prominently displayed on the car parked beside me.
I wanted to ask the driver, “How’s that hope and change working out for you?” or tell him, “Thanks a lot!”
What world do these Obama supporters live in? Restricted space in this letter doesn’t allow me to break down all of Obama’s questionable associations. But one organization our leader can’t distance himself from is ACORN.
This the same ACORN to which he paid $800,000 on the campaign trail and the same ACORN that stands to gain billions in ill-passed stimulus cash money that could be directed toward health care issues or a variety of other worthy causes.
The Census Bureau finally wised up and distanced itself from ACORN, relieving them of their services for the 2010 Census. Our commander in chief still hasn’t spoken out against ACORN or its deplorable practices.
That’s disappointing but should have been expected when you consider this guy has been forced to apologize to Special Olympians and hold a beer summit to make another sticky situation go away.
My fear is that ACORN was behind fraudulent votes in the previous election. The events surrounding ACORN are sickening.
But the liberal media is doing its best to conceal this, just like it concealed the noble efforts of those who gathered in Washington last weekend to voice opposition to big government and frivolous spending.
Even this publication, located in a conservative haven, all but chose to ignore those patriots who respectfully attended the rally.
But then again, newspapers have nothing to worry about. Obama will be giving his liberal friends in the print media a bailout any day now.
And Congress likely won’t even review the bill before they pass it.

Would Jeff82, or anyone for that matter, be so kind as to provide specifics on how my prior comments are “in accurate”.
After posting I became a little uncomfortable with my “ten to twenty times the 9/12 crowd” claim after posting as I don’t think the actual crowds in DC for the protests of the rush to war in Iraq were that high. I shared a link later that might have cleared it up.
Again, what vote fraud? Is the law on turning in voter registration forms not correctly shared?
I shared a FactCheck.org link also on this they’ll “gain billions” from the stimulus claim made by Mr. Jones. Are they also mistaken?
I’d also appreciate some sources on this “we got robbed” via “fake votes” argument. Given the numbers, 365 to 173 electoral votes and a 9.5 million vote gap in the popular, and the fact that I’ve yet to read any such claim, I’d love a link to your authority Jeff82. You’ve got to give McCain FL’s 27, OH’s 20, NC’s 15, VA’s 13, IN’s 11, and MO’s 11 to get him to 270. Some of those weren’t really that close. Please indulge us Sir!
As for the Gray Lady, are they willing to go to a non-profit press model? That’s the only legislation that has been floated after all. And I also couldn’t help but note you claiming my use “made all of us chuckle”. Do you speak for the whole of those that read this paper? Again, what was specifically flawed in the accuracy of the reporting?
Referencing Michelle Malkin’s book was revealing and allows me a chance to share a piece I recently read. Please see www.salon.com/books/feature/2009/09/12/...bestsellers/index.html Bulk sales and other factors could account for why she and Glenn Beck and … regularly occupy a position on the NYT’s (obligatory chuckle?) best seller list.
Finally, yours truly and plenty of other Progressives/Liberals routinely criticize the Obama administration. This is how it should be. I personally preferred Russ Feingold or Al Gore. Obama’s Treasury team especially, and administration as a whole, as was Clinton’s, has a large amount of Wall Street swells, Centrists, and the like. Time will tell and yet we’ve a real mess with plenty of challenges left over from this last especially but also several administrations.
Finally, I routinely ask, yet never get a response on, the following: Why do generally large media conglomerates organized to earn a profit turn into liberals when they do their reporting?
I agree with everything Mr. Jones indicated in his letter. It was well-written and accurate.
We are so fortunate to still be living under the umbrella of safety that President Bush has provided. Obama is slowing punching a leak in it with his unwillingness to keep us safe from our enemies.
Jones is right about ACORN and the President looks foolish, failing to condemn them. ACORN is surrounded by corruption.
As far the previous post, that person is in accurate all around the board. And citing something from the New York Times makes all of us chuckle. Members of that publication are battling to shine Obama’s shoes in hopes of getting a bailout, yet another attempt to stay in bed with him, hoping he can save them.
ACORN needs to be demolished, then potentially started over and I’m sure McCain would have won more states had it not been for the fake votes that were cast.
By the way, which country will Obama apologize to next. He’s been in office less than a year and has made us a mockery and lied repeatedly to the American people. What happened to “I want pass any bill that hasn’t been up on my website for five days”, or where is these tax cuts for 95% of the people. He said no lobbyist, but his White House is packed with lobbyist. And no one is allowed to criticize him because the White House whines when someone does and they prefer to answer questions about his dog and what enchants him about the position.
No wonder “Culture of Corruption” has been the No.1 best seller for so long. The liberal media can do their best but in the end the people of this country will be smart and will learn from this terrible mistake. Elections have consequences and McCain was the far better choice. It would have been wonderful to have a politician who could actually reach across party lines. Instead we got America’s Biggest Mistake.
I found after posting a nice comparison of how papers handled the 2002 war protests and the 9- 12. Again, what “liberal media”?
Media Matters shares “For major papers, 9-12 march—but not Iraq war protest—warranted front-page coverage” at http://mediamatters.org/research/200909150037?lid=1064509&rid=34621531
Does ACORN really “stand to gain billions billions in ill-passed stimulus cash money” Mr. Jones? I’m not sure which facet of the legislative efforts you reference but if it is the housing rehabilitation issues it appears that dog won’t hunt. Please see http://www.factcheck.org/2009/02/the-stimulus-bill-and-acorn/
And where does your fear of fraudulent votes flow? Is this another “he’s not legitimate” angle?
Here’s the deal on ACORN’s past voter registration conduct: At times contract workers obtained false or flawed registration forms yet my understanding is that ACORN, as is required by law in I think every state, turned in those forms with the appropriate flags to registrars. Do you or others have any solid sources suggesting this is not accurate?
I think we all can lament the dreadful former leadership of Wade Rathke plus the actions of a few bottom level workers filmed recently. You do know that other workers threw them of ACORN offices and even called the police when those young conservative activists tried the same stunt don’t you?
And I trust you’re familiar with people in corporate and other large organizations having engaged in large frauds, thefts, and the like? Does this ACORN issue compare to Enron for instance?
I’ll drop a link to the NYT that seems to cover the issue of President Obama’s past relationship with ACORN plus the money his 2008 campaign paid to Citizens Services, Inc., admittedly but legally affiliated with ACORN.
I’m confused about your reference to a lack of coverage to the tea bag turnout. Is it a numbers beef? I know there was much coverage that I read.
I can’t help but recall protests regarding the rush to war in Iraq that had ten to twenty times the number of protesters in DC that was largely ignored by the corporate, for profit media that makes up the so called liberal media.
As Mister T would say,“I PITY THE FOOL.YOU IDIOTS make it seem AS THOUGH Obama has been president since 1776?? How stupid can your logic be.Do you look at congress as a whole and see who is funding their campaigns?? Oil,Insurance, government contractors, etc.CHANGE IS WHAT THOSE OLD JIM CROW BOYS DON’T WANT.if you stop all the gifts congress gets to do backdoor favors, well maybe us AVERAGE JOE’S could get some help.what AMERICAN REAL ESTATE AGENT SOLD KADDAFY THE LAND??YOU PEOPLE ARE THE ONES SELLING THIS COUNTRY OUT,then say"we want our country back”.change is coming..you the same idiots that did not want the government to bailout the auto industry. Then you say_I DON’T WANT THE GOVERNMENT OWNED OBAMA CAR MAKERS TO TELL ME WHAT KIND OF CAR TO BUY AND DRIVE. So stupid if FORD,GM,CHRYSLER FAIL,WHAT TYPE OF AMERICAN CAR COULD YOU BUY AND DRIVE???.......YOU WOULD BE DRIVING HYUNDAIS AND NISSANS YOU JERK..TAKE SOME ECONOMIC CLASSES BEFORE OPENING YOUR MOUTH…HEAR SAY IS ALL IT IS….....RUSH LIMBAUGH
Mr. Jones you are entitled to your opinion, but sometimes it is best to ZIP it. You might not have been a voter who voted for OBAMA but don’t hate the player, hate the man (BUSH) who put us in this pedicament.
One can’t help but wonder where Mr. Jones’ concerns about fair elections were in 2000 or in 2004?
