Malcolm Cutchins: Scouting an organization that cannot be taken for granted
Scouting is alive and well in Alabama. Last Friday night in Birmingham, there was a banquet held in honor of those 342 boys who have attained the rank of Eagle Scout in our state this year, a record number. Almost 250 honorees with their parents were able to attend.

Atheistic beliefs taking control of schools, court decisions
Atheists try to paint a picture that a theocracy is on the way enforced by the huge majority who are religious in our country. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution recently published an editorial saying that one of our presidential candidates is not qualified to hold any office in our land because of his faith in God. So-called preachers heap criticism on evangelicals concerning almost every issue while the Jihadists, uncontrolled immigration and other much more real enemies virtually escape their wrath.

Auburn could use diversity lessons learned at Delaware
A couple of things, seemingly unrelated, have helped me to address this topic. One is the excellent presentation at the recent Auburn Tip-Off Club concerning the new arena soon to replace Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. The site for this building is adjacent to the new University Village, student housing for about 1,600 students on campus.
