Kickoff woes continue

Henry Sailes is fast.
The Tennessee Tech returner just galloped for 67 yards on Auburn’s first kickoff of the game, setting up a Golden Eagle field goal.
Morgan Hull’s kick was short, and Sailes made the Tigers pay for that and poor coverage.
I’m sure Eddie Gran, Auburn’s special team coach, isn’t too happy about that. Auburn has struggled on kickoffs all season (see: South Florida game).
And with Wes Byrum hampered by a quad injury, he’s not able to kick off.
The Tigers need to sure up their kickoff coverage ... quickly.

Seat 80: In full effect. Here an hour and a half before kickoff, there’s no one here.
I guess that’s to be expected for a game against Tennessee Tech. It is homecoming, however, and there will be a lot of alumni in town today.
We were just treated to a little ditty by the Auburn University alumni band. They’re already out here, ready to go.

And since this game isn’t on TV or Pay-per-view, I’ll try to keep you updated here on the Lazy Blog throughout. So, stay tuned.
