Recruiting, as we all know, never stops here in the Southeastern Conference. Apparently, the same can be said for the recruiting clock.

Three-star cornerback Jonathan Mincy committed to the Tigers last night shortly before The Tonight Show. He’s the Tigers’ eighth commitment of the 2010 class and the first defensive back.

We found out about this commitment because we have more Google Alerts than you. Those alerts were spurred on, of course, by the fine folks at AuburnSports.com, AUTigers.com and AuburnUndercover.com.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Mincy hails from Decatur (Ga.) SW. He turned down offers from LSU, Tennessee, Michigan, Miami, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Maryland to pick the Tigers, according to AuburnSports.com.

Rivals.com has him as the 25th ranked cornerback nationally. Scout.com ranks him 40th.
